Palm Easter

We celebrated Easter on Palm Sunday with my parents and grandparents. Mom and dad will be in Germany for a month visiting my sister/brother-n-law. Which, by the way they just had their baby boy! Logan Blake Fowler. I'll have to get a picture on here soon.
Dad helping to color eggs. Olivia really liked putting stickers on them this year.

Isaac tried to eat one and then smashed it to smitherines. He had one crumbly mess.

Opening Easter baskets. One from Grammie Judy/Grandaddy, one from Grandma/Grandpa. Thank you very much for all the toys and clothes!!! (and candy!)

What kid doesn't like the Easter grass?

Before we left, we had a fire. Isaac's first. He kept clapping his hands together and saying "pop" because he heard all the crackling in the fire. Too cute! My Nana was here for a visit from Georgia. She's there in the chair in the garage.

The Face

I know it's a sad face, but I think it should be in a magazine!
All better in a matter of seconds!

Just the Two of Them

On the way home from a playdate at an open gym with lunch after at a friend's house. The first words out of Olivia's mouth when she got in the car, "Mom, I don't want to sleep." I told her she didn't have to.

I love watching.

Just thought it was a cute expression. No, he doesn't wear pink, it's Olivia's hat.

My Little Helpers

I hope they want to help when they are 18!

They started with the stirring, but it wasn't enough for Isaac. He stuck his hand in, picked up the beans, and splashed water all over. What a helper!

Isaac sweeping, Olivia dog sitting.

Olivia still wants to feed him. I think I have another picture on here from when Isaac first started eating solids. Check out Olivia's mouth.

And the biggest help of all.....

As soon as I opened the dryer, Luci decided to climb in to get warm. This is the first time she's ever done this and it took her about 3min. to get settled. It cracked me up!! She's so big, but can curl up so small!

Hike on Porters Creek Trail

Justin and I went on another hike. It was pretty cool because we saw so many different things. However, when we got out of the car, Justin asked, do we need our ponchos? (It had rained the entire day before) I look up at the sky, totally sunny, very few clouds, I say, nah, we're good. So we walked the whole way back in the rain. It was a light rain. But a rain nontheless. Good memories.

We saw a pretty waterfall while on the trail.
We saw Porters' old barn from way back when (30's?) And the cabin built by a hiking club in the 50's? (thru the middle view of barn)
And we saw a graveyard at an old mountain settlement. Some of the graves had been updated by family members.

The video doesn't do it justice of course. Looks or loudness!

Just because

Justin got a picture of my favorite bird while at my mom and dad's house. Too pretty. Caught with his hand in the cookie jar....jewelry box. (actually, I have a bunch of old jewelry in the bottom two drawers that Olivia and Isaac can play in. Olivia likes to put it on and Isaac likes to put in my shoes.

Olivia and Isaac were 'helping' Dad clean the bathroom. After Justin finished the shower, he said, Ok let's clean this mess up. Very quickly, Olivia responded, "What mess?" He he. THE ONE YOU MADE.
My little man sitting at the big table to eat. Aww...

Puppet Show Gone Wrong

Ok. Here's a funny. I was trying to give Olivia and Isaac a puppet show and I had a blanket over some chairs for the "stage". Olivia stayed sitting on the fireplace for a while, but Isaac had different plans. He just would not stay back. He HAD to see the puppets on the other side. Then Olivia wanted to see. I kept trying to get them to stay on the other side, but gave up. Here's a picture of their puppet show...up close and personal.

1st Haircut

Justin gave Isaac his first real haircut. I thought there would be just a few snip snips. It turned into a complete shave. It took awhile to get used to, he looked like a completely different little man. He did great. Didn't cry, didn't move much, and didn't even get a sucker after it was over. He was enthralled with the squirt bottle.
Pre cut. J was about to sneeze.

Post cut.

In the meantime, Olivia decided to cut Kelly's hair. I found her before it was too late. There was only one snip.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

Friday January 29 was Isaac's birthday, but since both kids were sick, and it snowed, we postponed the party till Sunday....although the kids were still not 100%. After Mondays doctor appointment, we found out Isaac had an ear infection. He was a super trooper for the party.
Grandma Clown visited.

Here's the cake I made him. He likes to point out dogs everytime he sees one. And he likes th dalmation dogs in his room. I know....I know... I missed smoothing out 2 dots. Darn.

Just finished singing Happy Birthday.

He didn't have much expression until the toys came.

Not bad for the final mess. He didn't really eat much. I guess he was too sick??

Opening presents. He loved all of them, except for the bath towel and shirts. G&G and our neighbors came over to celebrate with us.

Olivia was all over helping him open his presents.
Adorable.
We took a few shots of him on his actual birthday.
This laugh cracked me up!
Blurry. But you get the effect of how excited he was! Plus, I think I see a little beaver in him...or is that bunny?

Another Snow Day

Isaac and Olivia have been fighting sickness all week, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play in the snow. Isaac was out about 2 minutes and he was ready to come back in. He and I watched from the kitchen window.

Olivia was happy to have her own pair of mittens this time.
These pics weren't from the snow, but I thought they were funny.
"Show me what to do, Olivia."

"Oh, I can do that!"
