Yard Work, Field Trip, & TBall

While watching this episode of Man vs. Tree, one could find multiple ways to bust a gut. I was simply the encourager and picture taker.

First they study the tree. Make a plan. 

Then they dig some. Chop some roots and such.

The rocking back and forth before the tree gave way was a sight to see. Once J was on the same side, they got it! At least one side of the root ball...

What's this??? Although it looks like dad pulled the tree over on himself....well, actually he did do that. But finally the second side came out too! They saved lots of money and had 'fun' doing it.

 Everyone got to ride the mower. Not together. J took each one separately. 

 Olivia was excited she could lift the shovel that high.

I got to go on another field trip with Olivia's class. We went to the Mayfield Dairy Farm. I thought it was cool. It takes 20,000 cows to produce one days worth of milk/ice cream! 

 Olivia was NOT a happy camper throughout the entire tour because of this thing right here. Even though EVERYONE had to wear one.

 But she was much better when she got the ice cream at the end.

It's official. Isaac is a Tball player!

 His #1 fans.

 This was when he got his jersey before the first game.

 I like their dangle feet.

 He has 2 games a week. No practices. Sometimes we practice in the morning while waiting for Elias to wake up. We also have family games just for fun.

This was one of a LONG series of funny faces. I thought they were all funny, but I know you the viewer probably do not need to see all of them. :-)

 I gave Elias carrots and they immediately went on the tractor. He's still learning the rule about no toys at the table. 

 Did I mention he likes to tackle and blow on tummies?

Family Time

Olivia tells me, "I made a sunset." I agree. It was water with food coloring in spray bottles on snow.

 Since mom is working at Dollywood again this year, we got a free date. Very fun!

 We ALMOST got one.

 Just because. (Elias was already in bed.)

 We went to the riverwalk for picnic and walk.

 They wanted to eat here.

 Justin made a fun surprise for them.  They brought their own quarters but didn't find out what it was for until we got there. We fed the ducks. 

 Elias was cracking us up on the way home because he was having so much fun playing with Isaac's umbrella in the van.

 They were playing tackle football in our nice patch of grass. 

 

I only think this picture is cool because Luci is in mid-bite. Elias was sharing his cheese.

 Elias is really liking the trampoline these days. 

 He loves to tackle and be tackled. Notice he's sucking his thumb. After crawling around for a while, he'll just lay down and suck his thumb for a rest, then get up and play again.

Hair. Baby.

 No hair. Boy. J buzzed it while Olivia and I were gone!

I want to crawl in there with him....

 J planted the garden with the kids while I had to work over the weekend. Tomatoes, snap peas, bell pepper, squash, and eggplant.

 Elias has added dirt to his list of cool things to eat. Others include: crayons and chalk.

 Not so sure he liked it.

Easter, Birthdays, & Dentist

To catch up a little....   We made Easter egg rice krispie treats. 

Easter lesson: I'm God. They are them. Their sins are on cups. Sins block them from God. Jesus came to earth. Died. Lives. BAM! (knock down cups) Now we can get to God. Praise the Lord for Easter! 

God loves them very much!

Shaving cream, food coloring, paper transfer thing. The finished product: painted eggs. You had to scrape off the shaving cream that you see in pic with a squeegy which left the coloring on the paper.

J had the majority of pics on his camera.

Elias wasn't too interested in the egg hunt inside, but the candy was a real temptation for him!

However, the next day we had an egg hunt outside since it wasn't raining and he LOVED it. He was so excited to find the colorful eggs. He kept shaking his bucket real hard so all the eggs would fall out and he could pick them up again.

Luci had a birthday in March. She is now 7. The picture is a little dark, but we celebrated by giving her waffles for breakfast.

Well, we decided it was time for Olivia to go to the dentist for the first time. Not sure if that makes me a good mom or bad mom since she's almost 6. Isaac went too because of some discoloration on his bottom teeth.  I've never experienced a dentist office like this before. It was pediatric so maybe that's why. It was a big open room with lots of kids getting worked on at the same time. I thought it looked hilarious. 

 They had a tv on the ceiling above each dentist table playing a movie.  Olivia got up soon after laying down and said she wasn't going to do it because she didn't like the movie. I opted for hers to be turned off. (not sure what it was. kid movie, but olivia is very sensitive and prefers 1/2hr shows over any movie)

 Isaac was glued to the movie and could barely respond to the dentist when he talked to him.

 They both did great. No cavities. Elias got a new toothbrush to chew as well!
