1st Day in the 1st Grade

Our big 1st Grader!
Looks a lot like our little kindergartner! She wanted to wear the same thing as last year.  Maybe by 2nd grade the dress will be above her knees!
Since Justin got a new job this year in Maryville, I'm going to have to take her to school every morning instead of just Thursdays.  It's going to be tricky!  We'll see who who gets her more tardies....me this year or Justin last year???
We walked her to her class but had to stop by the office to check in. They (especially Elias) love the big fish in the tank.
Her teacher this year, Mrs. Lancaster.  I love her already!  She has a son who was on Isaac's tball team.
This was a guy we saw in the car pick up line. He has 15 birds of all varieties and usually brings one to pick up his kids. Fun for all the others who have to wait so long in the car line!
Waiting for me to pull up.
Climbing into the car. Elias always says "hug hug" when she gets in.  She gives him lots before getting in her seat.
This year we went to Brusters to get an icee...thanks to the summer reading program the kids did through the library.
After Elias ate all his, Olivia shared hers.
Olivia has two of her close friends in her class from last year. She's also excited about the fact that she gets to play with all of her friends from last year at recess.  She said she likes this year because the kids are more quiet and don't give her a headache.  Another comment was that she can't understand one boy in her class because he's from Africa.  He has recently been adopted. She's already learning lots this year and getting culturized!
