Dog, Field Trip, Bowling, and Random

Isaac was very proud of making this cheese boy.
 This is Elias' cheese boy.
I now fully understand what it's like to be a grandparent.  We watched a puppy for a weekend.  It was so fun to have her, but it was also nice to know she was leaving after a few days.  This is Ellie. Since the kids have been wanting a puppy, they LOVED every minute of it. I just had to smile while laying in bed listening to it bark for 13minutes in her cage before falling asleep. They even get you up in the middle of the night to be let out. Awww....  so glad Luci isn't a puppy anymore!
 Which one is Ellie?
 This is my favorite memory.
When trying to leave to return movies to the library, I noticed one case did not have a dvd in it. However, I had just had it in my hand.  I looked everywhere and couldn't figure out for the life of me where I put it. After retracing my every step, I found it here. In the drawer of course.
Thanks for neighbors who let us use their leaves every year!
Elias' first time being buried. I didn't get a pic with Olivia this year, but she was there too!
 Super hero after bath.
 Another super hero.
Just because. He looks big to me. And a little ornery.
Goes with the pictures from above.
Another day we went out to pick up seeds. I thought this was a cute brother moment.
Flicking lady bugs off the tree.
Before school one morning. She slept in braids. Apparently this is the going thing right now.
 TWIZZLERS!!!!
Bowling with the Stringfellows. The kids helped keep score. It was at UT so there were no fancy tv score keepers.
Her balls rolled ever so slowly, but she was consistent.
Isaac let go of his balls about 2 ft from the start of the lane.
With Erin.
With Elaina.
Elias pushed 2 balls down. One got stuck 1/2 way. He spent the rest of the time walking around, clapping, and doing thing like this.
I'm liking his long hair...but I see a haircut in the near future.
Justin and Erik took the big kids to a basketball game after bowling. They enjoyed the special treats and staying up late.
Shooting each frosted mini wheat before eating it. Those things aren't going anywhere but in his tummy! The smile on his face after each shot was crack up.

Goodbye Goldie, Happy Bday Grandpa, & the Park

The kids have been wanting a pet (apparently they do not realize that Luci is a pet)...so when my sister wanted to leave us the fish she bought Logan while they were in TN, I thought hey, perfect opportunity.  So we inherited Goldie and the kids were thrilled. Things were going great...kids rotating feeding schedule, watch him during dinner...Isaac even put Duke & Tweety next to the bowl for company. And then one morning, Goldie was not in his bowl.
This is where Elias found him. Stuck to the floor. I guess our fish could fly and walk, but not breathe air.  So long Goldie. Isaac, Elias, and I flushed him. Elias still randomly says "Goldie. Died. Bowl. Out. Floor. Sad."
Dinner pose.
Making Grandpa's icing for his cake.
Eating the icing for Grandpa's cake.
Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We love you!
 Party-Investigator.
Effects of cake and ice cream.
Took I&E to park after story time. E surprised me with this. Last time I left him alone on a swing, he fell off.
 His favorite tree to climb.
 Elias, the tree sitter.
Home Depot kids craft. Elias expresses his love for hammers.

Circus, Reading, Trick or Treating...or the lack there of

Free tickets to the circus again.  It was great, but we left at intermission and won't be going back for another couple of years.
Olivia "has" to read now for school.  She will be doing our bedtime books throughout November.
We all went to church to load up on
candy the day before trick or treat night. I don't have any pictures. The kids enjoyed all the blowups. Olivia was a vet, Isaac a super hero w/mask, Elias a super hero w/no mask, J a red-headed referee, T a farmer.
On Halloween, the kids cracked me up with handing out candy. This was their first time. This was them way before time to trick or treat.
 She's ready!
We only had maybe 10 or so come. The kids played on the porch while waiting for the customers.
Still waiting. Isaac was yelling at people to "come to our house we'll give you candy" and Elias was yelling "bye bye" over and over again...did I mention he was yelling??
 Still waiting.
And then they threw on some duds to get candy from next door.
Same pic for the past 3 years...only adding a kid each year.
 Our little heroes.

The Tooth, Fall Party, & Pumpkin Patch

First one! Fell out at school. She said she was playing with it with her tongue and it got stuck. So she tried to unstuck it with her finger. She didn't know it fell out until it landed on her desk. The students get a small plastic treasure box to put it in and then the class sings a song about having a hole in your head.
After listening to Elias loudly say "eat, eat, eat" over and over again while standing beside me as I was fixing lunch...I finally told him to go sit at the table and wait while I finish getting him food. And this is what he did. Sat and watched birds ever so patiently. That's a rarity, but was still so sweet.
Olivia's fall party at school, which also happened to be pajama day. I got to do the pin the nose on the pumpkin and make-a-sticker-pumpkin station.
She was excited to have her desk moved for the first time this year.
It so happens that Mrs. Lancaster also has hello kitty pj pants!
Isaac got some new turtle pjs. I really hope they fit once they are washed! They didn't have any bigger ones and he REALLY wanted them.
We went to the pumpkin patch. Had lots of fun with the goats. One escaped and J became the goat herder, which was FUNNY! After he escaped the second time, we just left him to graze.
Elias is still not sure about goats.
Us picking up corn from the ground so they could eat from our hand.
The small pumpkin choices.
The big pumpkin choice! HELP!!
She did it!
The pose.
Took this one from the van while I was moving it to the other end of the patch. They are like a bunch of ducks....
And we enjoyed two apple pies after we were done!
So thankful for family time.
