We went to Missouri over the 4th of July week. We had lots of fun and saw lots of family.
While staying with Katie in St.Louis, we went to a river to play for a few hours. Nate and Aleah caught fish, a crayfish, and a frog. A family close by gave us their toad they caught. Isaac thought it was cool to hold the toad and frog, Olivia, not so much. Isaac did scoop a fish up with a bucket, which impressed me. They are fast! I couldn't catch one even when Katie shooed the schools right to me. Isaac and Aunt Katie looking at the crayfish.
Olivia and Nate watching the fish.
Olivia was showing her Alphabet Book that she made in preschool.
We were at Gramp & Nana's house in Columbia for the 4th. There were about 25 family members at the house for lunch and dinner. Then we went to the Columbia firework show in the evening, I just didn't get any pictures.
The next day we went to the lakehouse in Lake of the Ozarks. Elias enjoying food.
We didn't actually go tubing, but we did float in it and try to catch pretend fish inside it.
Since it was over 100 degrees, the hot tub wasn't really hot. Kids had fun playing in it.
Chilling in the water. Isaac did very well with the life jacket and noodle. Olivia swam all over with the life jacket.
Elias joined in the hot tub action too.
They caught a fish!
Everyone got to ride the wave runner. SUPER fun!
...And Elias in the lake.
We headed back to St.Louis. Justin's mom won 4 tickets to a Cardinals baseball game at work and let us have them. Thank you! Katie watched Elias since it was 106 degrees! Thank you too! We rode the metro train to the ballpark.
From our seats.
Proof we were there. We didn't stay in our seats for more than 4 innings. Did I mention it was 106? Frozen lemonade was a must!
On our way home, we stopped at the original location of KFC in Corbin, KY. It had a tiny museum to walk through. However we ate tacos because neither of us really like KFC.
Colonel Sanders and the fam.
